Cool

Man, this is absolutely fantastic on all levels! Very, very tasty and tasteful. It is like a jazz tune with the Star Spangled Banner subliminally woven in and out of it. Very subtle but unignorably familiar and recognizable. Excellent arranging skills. How did you put this together? You are a month too late on finding this site though, as last months theme for the MP3 of the Month contest was "National Anthems." Great job...Top notch!

Thanks man!

Yeah, I caught that you guys had done the Nat'l Anthem theme, but this really isn't a guitar feature anyway....and it's the only version I've done....

Anyway......it's a live performance with a full band and horns; recorded last year.....I'm a full time arranger, it's part of what I do....screw with familiar melodies and give them a new "home".

While we're at it on the "patriotic theme", check out my version of My Country Tis of Thee from 1997, from a live performance:

My Country Tis of Thee Sjones - arranger
