tribute to John Lennon
Made this cover over the weekend to do as post for the Guitarbattle site.. want input on what yas think before i do decide to post it.. I don't know if i should redo the guitar sound,, or just go with what i got here. please leave comments to all who come to listen... really appreciate please.

well thanks for the compliment. I'm just debating on wether i should redo the sound opf my guitar work or not.. should i use clean guitar? should i go heavier distortion? any ideas from anybody is cool also.. Or,, shopuld I leave it the way it is ....

maybe try a version ala eric johnson with some pushed clean tones and some distorted tones. it would be cool if you tried reharmonizing some of the melody lines with some chord voicings. just my .02

i totally agree with that ! .. that would sound cool throwing in some clean chord voicings like eric johsnson would be seriously cool !
nice cover though scott .. nice choice of song ... i can't remeber if i've said this before but try and use a little less harsh vibrato in songs like this especially .it can take away from the melody ... as when you do it your cahanging the pitch of the note slightly ... it's a hard habit to break i know .. it took me ages to do !

scott, start by taking one note from the melody, and add harmony note(s) to it from the diatonic scale. try 3rd's perhaps and then 4th's, 5th's etc. until you find intervals pleasing to your ear and appropriate for that section. later, randy

i think i understand now cool! im gonna try and record it agin in the future thats for sure.. now that i got some input. glad you all came here for input to give me. either weay,, ill put the backing up later for all to use.
