VH -Dance the Night Away
I don't have a copy of the original, so I'm not sure if this is played correctly. I love the part before the solo break! Oh, thanks Skydog911 for the backing! We were teasing you about the cow bell.

Wow, awesome, I love this song I wish I could play it as good as you do.
Tone sounds right on the money. What are you using (amp)

Re: VH -Dance the Night Away
Hey Evhmoon, you gotta' post it too. The best thing about covers and tributes is hearing different fingers playing these tunes!
Thanks for listening!

Re: VH -Dance the Night Away
I have a guitar port, did you download the tone off the net?
What kind of pickup are you using?

Re: VH -Dance the Night Away
No, the tone came with the pod. The pickup is a duncan evh (evenly voiced harmonic). Check in the "amp modelling section of this site, they should know allot more than I do about ports, pods and downloadable tones.

Re: VH -Dance the Night Away
Thanks Mataz! Yeah, this is a real charming tune and fun to play. As far as the amp goes, it's a POD. I have an old 50w marshall which I prefer, but can't crank whilst my Fiance sleeps. Oh, a crucial part of my set-up is the EVH pickup. They are an amazingly expressive pickup for any type of electrified music. -they don't sound compressed like the hotter pups or too thin like the single coils.

Top notch bro! Perfect tone, just the right amount of harmonics, and you seem to have the touch down. Excellent feeling...very fun song! You have a much better touch than I do. I can play the tune (not that tough), but it's all in that touch. You've got it bro... I'm still workin' on it
Great job Can't wait to hear more - git ta' playin'

Re: VH -Dance the Night Away
Thanks all!!! There is something very intriguing about this song. It's very basic, yet it is so fascinating to play. I wanted to hotrod the track but felt it shined best just as it originally was recorded. Actually there is a lot that I could have done much better. Thanks again to Skydog911 for the backing. Covers and tributes has been really amazing lately!

Nice one strat78! I always like to hear you play Van Halen. You always get every last little nuance. Very nice tone too. BTW hope your hand is doing better. I would guess it is by your post
