Got this one of the Backing Tracks site (in Spanish?). Thought I'd have a fuck about and this is what I've learnt:
1. It's fuckin' hard!
2. It's fuckin' fast!
3. My hands won't move like I know they used to!
4. It's not perfect!
The only real problem with this backing is that the bass is badly out of time BUT Steve Harris ain't an easy guy to copy! Also some of the drum licks aren't quite 'on' but it doesn't effect it too bad (if you listen from a distance!). Anyway, it was fun and my fingers had a workout. Keep posting guys...lets hear more now we have a source of material.
Great job Wah! I was dissapointed with the backing, but here is a video that my old band did over the summer EJ's Trooper
Right-click the link and choose "Save Target As..." otherwise the sound may cut out half way through.
The file is about 4 Mb with a couple of rough spots as we were live... Enjoy!
I did both parts which, to be honest, helped, because the thing is so fast (the trill that you do twice in each pass) that putting another one over the top seemed to tighten it up. The guitars are way up because trying to get a level with the bass that was out of time just made it a mush! As for the solo's...I sort of knew where some of it went but just went for my own thing with the bits that I thought I knew. It's a great song to play tho'-fuck it tightens you up rythm wise. Cheers Mond...I was happy with it for 70 minutes work but I think I'll do it agin before I post it somewhere like my site-it's a bit scrappy.
