This track has always been a personal fave of mine. One of the finest UK bands EVER and this is one of their best moments. It's a ballad so if ya don't like ballads, leave NOW!!!
I took a few months over this; coming back to it every so often to see if I could get more emotion in the solo's and wondering who the hell would sing it! Well Roy came thru for me and put a highly personal slant on this because:
- he sounds fuck all like Phil Lynott
- he didn't know the song at all
- he is an amazing singer
So this is my version of Lizzy's finest moment. I've seen all of Lizzy's guitarists play it live but the Brian Robertson/Scott Gorham one from 'Live and Dangerous' outdoes even Gary Moore and
John Sykes. So I've covered the most famous one's from ''Live And Dangerous''. I posted this last year for those who think they might have heard it...I'm having a cleanout and posting some of the collabs.
