Hi fellow VH nut-bags.

My mission in life is to chase down the early VH tone.
I have hand built a Plexi clone specifically for this purpose. Right at this moment, the amp is finished - so let the tone tweaking begin. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

My current rig consists of:
Marshall JMP Plexi Clone (1987)
Marshall JMP-1
Rocktron Intellifex
Mesa/Boogie 50/50 Stereo Tube Power amp.
4 X 12 Cab loaded with E-Tones *ahem*, I know - I need to get Celestions!

Strat #1: Fender neck, Dimarzio PAF Pro, Original Floyd Rose
Strat #2: Cimar Neck, Bill Lawrence L500, Kahlar Trem
Flying-V: Old Ibanez original, Bill Lawrence L500.
Strat #3: Ibanez GT - this one is in bits.

Anyhow - I like to talk technical about tube amps, and the theories of how the hell EVH got *that* tone!
