The new
Foo Fighters double CD (ironicly titled
In Your Honor) and it has this shit on there. I can't play the thing in my computer or rip it into iTunes - if I try it just comes out garbled. So, if I want to play it in my iPod or my computer, I'm screwed even though I spent my hard earned cash.
That's what burns me up about this - I
PAID for the music and yet I can't listen to it unless I go to the iTunes store and download it there. If I do that, I have to pay for the same music twice which is complete horseshit. I don't go downloading a bunch of songs illegally and yet I am penalized because Sony feels the need to flex its' collective muscle.
I travel a lot for my job so I listen to a lot of my music on my computer or using my iPod but I can't listen to
In Your Honor unless I drag the CD along with me which I really don't want to do. This sucks and I am actually very close to sending back the CD to Sony directly demanding a refund. I know this type of action would be met with a collective yawn from studio chiefs but what's a simple guy to do?
Done ranting now.
