SCHOOL OF ROCK...can you tell me?
Just bought 'School Of Rock' on DVD today and want to know if my 6 year old will:
A. Get it (the jokes etc)
B. Hear stuff he shouldn't
C. Swearing?
I want him to watch it but just wonder if it's a bit too much for him? Any Dads seen it with their kids?
Cheers,
wahwah.

My 9 year old loves it. I don't remember anything really sticking out as not appropriate. Great flick

I would say that your six year old will enjoy most of it and there isn't really anything I can think of that would be that offensive. Go For it Friend!!!

Re: SCHOOL OF ROCK...can you tell me?
The only thing offensive about that movie is that Van Halen doesn't get a mention. School of Rock without a Van Halen shoutout? Wizza Please!!!

1. Van didn't you read the black board as Jack Black was explaining rock history. There in the centre is VAN HALEN in BIG letters.
2. School of Rock? I live this everyday in my classroom. We play rock only and the class are expected to bring in their fav rock tunes to play at lunch (or even in maths). Of course Van Halen get played a lot and even studied from time to time..eg: Van Halen's performance at the 1983 US Festival was their musical Everest. Re: SCHOOL OF ROCK...can you tell me?
Prolly. For the record, I thought it was pretty dull. The only thing that made me smile was Jack Black's sorta Heavy Metal body popping but it was a one joke film for me...Sister Act with Marshall amps.

Trust me, I'm a student of this movie. I saw the blackboard and was underwhelmed that this was the only mention in the movie.
