Weren't the Peavey strings basically the same as the Fender 150 XLs in the first place?

Hola EJ.
Fender 150XLs are gauged- .009, .011, .015, .024, .032, .040 - such as the Ernie Ball "5150" set was.
Both sets are/were pure nickel wound. For years I used those exclusively. I still use 'em for me crap Strat... when I can find them that is... as GC rarely has them in stock.
The
Peavey Wolfgang strings were the basic Super Slinky type- .009, .011, .016, .024, .032, .042 - if I'm not mistaken. That is the gauge set all Wolfgang guitars are factory-equipped with.
