I using your anaology of "Jazz" and applying to Ace's style in comparison to Bruce's. Ace's is more "jazz"...by that I mean free form and fluid than Bruce...By no means would I consider Ace to be a jazz player!!! I don't drink that much!!!

But still i find that sickening how you can say that though. What i would say is Bruce is more of a EVH influenced. To be honest what i find what you say is crap.

I have never said anything of Ace being associated with jazz playing. I understand what beeble is saying how he is a slower player conpared to Bruce. Aces freeness of playing more is more to hard rock compared to his metal that is my thought. But for you to bring UG into this is bullshit. I got banned for the stupidist thing ever which i believe is no worse then what others say on there. So fuck off. I'm going to watch BB

Never said Ace was a "slower" player either. Speed never entered into my thought process.
Thanks though to Groovey who understood my point.
I will say this though. I love the spontenaity (I think that's how it's spelt) of Ace's playing and the more structured playing of Bruce.
Lets agree "Jazz" is a horrible word to use to describe any memeber of KISS's playing. i was just trying to explain my point using YOUR teminology
Bruce's playing WAS more invluenced by EVH at the time...cause he joined in '84 and was told to play that way. By his own admission he was "dabbling" in that style of playing though.
I hope to post more crap you find offensive!!! Enjoy BB

I did understand what you said. But i just got buzzed off when you used Jazz and Ace Frehley in the same sentence.
No hard feelings

Ace! Ace ! Ace ! Vinnie is crazy, Bruce is a professionist, Mark (R.i.p.) was great... but Ace is a ROCKER , even when Kiss went pop rock he was.
Ace , Ace , Ace.
Paul can be considered , He is God...too easy

For me the best Kiss lineup musician wise was with Singer and Kulick. Revenge and The Carnival Of Souls albums kicked ass. Carnival Of Souls is probably the heaviest Kiss record made. Sure, I grew up on the original lineup but it is what it is. Ace never got any better after his solo album which is where he peaked as a player.

I gotta give it to Bruce Kulick. The live shows in the mid '80's and up till the reunion where very tight. Aside from some of the costumes...

I'd say Bruce Kulick. I love 80's KISS the most so that's why I think I'll go with Bruce.

I Am Gonna Be The Soloist Here...Im Gonna Go With Tommy Thayer, Because He Can Imitate Ace Note-For-Note, Which Means He's As Good As Ace, He Has The Speed Of Vinnie, The Creativity Of Bruce, And The Guy Can Play Behind His Head (Watch Tommy Thayer Guitar Solo On Youtube) Without Making A Mistake!!! Tommy Has My Vote
