Birmingham N.E.C.

Hi there,

Today, I brought in all my Sammy era CDs and all my Sammy era bootlegs. I have the bootleg from one of the concerts I went to see at the Birmingham N.E.C. in England.

Now, this was a great concert. The motorway was jammed on the way down, but nobody minded, because it was full of like minded Van Halen fans !!! All blastin' out Van Halen and passing beers and chanting, "Eddie ! Eddie ! Eddie !", and just generally speculating on what the show would be like.

Because of the traffic, we got there late, and so I missed most of the Little Angels support act, but that didn't matter, because Van Halen then graced the stage.

Funny concert as well, because Toni Iommi was there, and my brother rushed off to shake his hand and get his autograph. He was just standing there, in the aisle, watching it. Then he shrugged and walked off. My brother went crazy. I was interested, but could not divert my eyes or attention from Eddie and the boys, so I didn't bother going to meet him.

The sound quality ain't the best I've got, but it's from the show that I went to, so I remember the feeling I had and how I yelled back at everything, and went wild when Eddie stripped his top off and started playing his solo.

There's no cover art in there, just a double CD. So, in celebration of the fact that Van Halen are touring again, and just cuz I'm in an excited, pumped up mood, the first 5 to reply to this post (no double posts ) saying they'd like a copy, I'll burn and send out a copy of this concert. No messing around with the posts, moderators... CD2 isn't mastered properly, and the whole CD is split into like 2 30 minute L-O-N-G tracks !!!

For those interested, the gig is :
