Today I came into posession of a video of "Expo 1992 Sevilla...Guitar Legends Concert".

Look at this lineup, and no, I'm not shitting you when I type this.

Seriously...this frickin rocks....and to actually see all of these people, on stage together, all at once, playing all those guitars, together, is just amazing....

Hell, even more amazing...SATCH HAD HAIR!!!!

I sat here tonite - and I was bouncing in my chair it rocked so much, and I'm not a small dude...that's not an easy thing to say...it was COMPLETLEY BAD ASS!! AND I think, but may be wrong, that this is one of, if not THE last performance by Cozy Powell...and he rocked hard ALL NIGHT.

I saw this a while ago on cable tv here .. pretty awesome concert i must say , the version of liberty though with may satch and vai is terrible ! .. didn't work at all in my opinoin the harmonys are really weird .. i

but apart from that .. a cool concert indeed

the harmonies in liberty probably sounded a little different cuz on the original, the harmonies were played on different instruments of different tone and timbre... ive seen sections of the concert... thanks for posting the pics steveowabo

ehhh it's not really that , it's just vai had the unimaginable job of arranging a piece of music with god knows how many guitars and other parts to it for 3 guitars basically ... and it just didn't work in my ears .. he kinda chose the wrong parts and harmonys to emphasise. compare it with the version on the astoria dvd .. much better arranged in my opinion . not a bash on vai .i love him .. it's just a huge task .

what a line up indeed ... Vai in his passion and warfare days .. what a treat , hes like a pirate . so fucking cool looking haha . to my eyes and ears thats Vai at his best technically , physically and compositionally . his later works are awesome but he really threw so much into passion and warfare and it all worked ... not many dudes could put so many different things into each song on a 14 track long record and have it all sound perfect 2 Vai for that lol .

Brian may is killer too . not heard many of the others with exception to Nuno etc .. but its still a crazy line up . hope i get to see this concert someday .

I remember when this aired on pay-per-view in 1992. I was living at my parents house at the time and wanted to watch this SOOO bad. Problem was we were going out for dinner, someones birthday or some occasion like that, so my dad said, 'Don't worry, I'll setup the VCR to tape it'. So, I paid the $50 or whatever it cost, and of course when we got home, the tape was nothing but static - he forgot to put the TV to the right channel I think. Argh!! So, I never saw this show until I found it on Kazaa last year! Thank God I have a TIVO now

I remember having this on VHS until I wore it out. The thing that struck me about tit was just how fucking brilliant Nathan East was on bass - never missed a beat and looked so comfortable with all the material. The guy is a legend!
