Props to John Dette for nailing those Lombardo drum parts (that's a WAY better job right there than anything Paul Bostaph ever pulled off for Slayer...)! ...Glad Lombardo's back though, the next Slayer album is going to kill I'm sure!

One riff that is repeated in a couple of parts is really pretty awesome, but I agree that the rest is just cloudy mucky muck. I've never been a fan of super-fast music (particularly the whole 1-2-1-2 bass/snare speed thing, more than anything), so I tend to really like about 50% of Slayer's riff's, but the rest just sounds like mush to me.

just take the beginnings of Dead Skin Mask, Seasons in the Abyss and South of Heaven...sweet riffs behind some moody a$$ intros... oh well *shrug*
