Def Leppard DVD

I just bought the Def Leppard Live DVD called "In the round, in your face" And it's pretty good, really glam but overall not bad for in live concert. Has anyone else seen it? I noticed Rick Allen didn't do a drum solo.

I actually really like those guys live. I have all their DVD's. Great band that has almost stood the test of time, lol.

Great band. If you get the chance to see any documentaries on them, do it. They're really good. The one with actors is real good, but I watched a show where they actually took the drummer back to the field where he lost his arm.

Fuck me, that was emotional...

But yeah, a great band.

Re: Def Leppard DVD

RIP Steve Clark: The end of the band.

In the Round, In your Face is a great concert! I saw them 3 times on that particular tour and they never disappointed. I used to be a huge DL fan, but it ended when they made Adrenalize and every other record (besides RetroActive, which has a few great songs) made afterwards. I really thought the band would've gotten that harder-edge back with Vivian Campbell, but I think he's only a "hired-gun" for them. He's wrote a few songs for them that are half-good at best. Maybe that's why he never really contributed much songwriting to the many other bands he was in beforehand. He's a solid-player and really strengthened the background vocals live for DL.

I've got this one and it's pretty good except for the sound. Kinda washed out to my ears! They do a killer version of "Hysteria" in my opinion! Lepp is only 2nd to VH in my book and I've seen them on every tour they've done since Hysteria!

I think they should do another live dvd at some point but Joe Elliots voice is tempermental. One show he might sound good and the next night he's blown it. It's all in his style of singing though!
