Doug Aldrich unreleased track
Check out this fantastic instrumental from Doug Aldrich, currently touring with Whitesnake and ex-Dio.
He's one of my all-time fav players with John Sykes and Randy Rhoads and EVH.

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
He's the best in the business at the moment IMO...his tone is pure strat and Les Paul meets Marshall and he has that sassiness that Goerge Lynch has x 10! Thanks CC.

Very damn tasteful There is a mixture of past guitarists in his work.

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
He's a friend of my teacher's but they haven't been in touch for several years. I wish I could meet him and maybe take lessons from him. That would be the shit!

Whooa, that would be awesome Where are you located or did you mean a teacher from your past where you don't live now? Did that make sense?

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
My teacher is in the LA area and was in the LA scene in the 80s when he and Doug were starting out.
This was merely wishful thinking on my part though...

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
Hey wahwah! How would you like to hear this cat play guitar in a band with Jorn Lande handling the pipes for instance?
This would show these wannabe guitar yahoos how it's done.
Doug should be all over the guitar mags. Beat me why not...?

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
Not sure...he's definitely a well kept secret but plenty of players dig him and if you see the amount of post he gets on his website, he's gonna be huge!

Doug is awesome, I love his solo records... I heard a new Whitesnake live cd featuring Doug & Reb Beach will be out soon...

Re: Doug Aldrich unreleased track
Doug's a good player... although I don't want to go down that road again with *Doug's* cover of VH's "I'm the One"...
I dunno what the deal is with his eluding fame either... He's been around for decades but was always the "replacement" guitarist- he was in Hurricane after Tony Cavazo left and in House of Lords after Lanny Cordola... and now Whitesnake... But all of them were/are fairly weak bands... so perhaps it's not his playing chops that keep him underground...
Anyone here remember David Chastain?
