Thats funny.... but any good guitar player should have been able to adjust their ears to a untuned guitar and play it in the right key? Hell,, I would have stopped the song and yelled for another guitar and make a joke out of it... I remember days when Diamond Dave forgot the f#%king words. I vote Eddies fault.

Ed always said he had troubles keeping the old Frankenstrats in tune.

With that song you just can't stop, so a good tech should have checked it out to make sure it was tune. After all it was the encore. It wasn't like he didn't have time.

He was not playing a frankenstrat?

So you would rather play the entire song out of tune?

The main explanation I've heard is that "the pre-recorded synth parts were accidentally played back at a 48k bitrate instead of 44.1k". Transposing didn't help, the pitch was off by semi-tones.

That's what I'd heard too. Buzz Feiten couldn't have done anything in that situation.....

I was wondering if maybe the synth was maybe off key.

I remember seeing the VH1 show about Ratt, and how Robbin Crosby grabbed the wrong guitar, so he and Warren were off tune to each other. Robbin of course was drunk, and was fired after the show. I remember the faces of Warren and Stephen when Robbin was playing off-key.

I just don't know how Robbin could still play perfectly (even though off-key) as drunk as he was....

Oh.... another one was CC DeVille at the MTV Awards... he came out drunk off his butt, and played the wrong song. That's when I gained respect for him...

ed's a fucking dip shit for not fixing that situation. All he had to do was take his guitar off and get one in standard tuning, it's not that complex.

Who hasn't had a gig where something didn't go wrong at least once in your gig life?

Personally, if I were Ed, I would have quickly changed guitars when the keys were doing their solo. I'm surprised he didn't.......UNLESS......THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE KEYBOARD SAMPLE???

Haha...nothing like losing your motor control when trying to play the guitar
