Gary Moore

People have been requesting and posting Gary Moore backing tracks.
I used to listen to him a lot throughout the 90's but for no particular reason put the records on the side.
This prompted me to dig them out.
I've been listening to "Still Got The Blues" this morning. This is an amazing alectric blues album. Gary's tone is the stuff of legends and his licks are really killer.
I think I'll be dissecting some of his riffs to try and integrate that style into my vocabulary. Gary Moore smokes!

Re: Gary Moore

I'm just this minute posting 'Empty Rooms' up CC. This was posted this morning and as I couldn't get a feckin' note out of my POD for a Sykes sound to do 'Is This Love', I thought I'd give it a go. Its in tribs in 10 minutes...have a listen.

Gary Moore is an amazing player. I love the Corridors of Power album. His tone is totally blistering.

Re: Gary Moore

Yeah, he's very heavy handed as well. Makes them strings look like elastic. Corridors of Power was a strange one cos it was entirely single coil strat which wasn't what he was known for. Have you heard the G-Force album? The tone is very whiney but he's seriously trying to out-do Ed and Randy Rhoads as it was a 1980 album. Check it out, the songs are amazing.

Eh.. Gary Moore is a hack.

His guitar playing couldn't hold a candle for Blinked 182's Tom Deschlongue, Good Char-rot and those two Munkee Heads from KoRn.

... j/k.

I'm still, and always have been a huge fan of the Wild Frontier album.
