Interview Joe Satriani..............
Back in 1996, Joe Satriani first embraced the Internet with a special
live interview/webcast with fans. Through the years he has continued
to build a relationship with his fans through the Internet through
regular live webcasts, fan video greetings and other interactive
elements on his web site.
This year Joe takes it to the next level by inviting an online fan
to join him and conduct an interview at the taping of his April
7th, 2005 show in Anaheim, CA. The interview will be included as
part of his next world-wide webcast to air May 1st, 2005. The lucky
fan will be selected through a voting process by fellow fans on
SATRIANI.COM throughout the month of March. Fans can submit their
application (a paragraph of text about why they're suited to conduct
the interview plus sample questions) and the winner will select
questions from the entire online community to ask Joe in person the
night of the show. The winner will also receive a collection of
Joe's tour merchandise and receive 2 free tickets and aftershow
passes to the concert.
NOTE: WINNER MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE SHOW IN ANAHEIM, CA.
The webcast is brought to you in partnership with Peavey, QuickTime,
Guitar Player, Epic Records, and Chime/Kikkerfest.com.

My Entry
Description:
My Interview Qualifications
I am a guitarist for over 25 years and have followed Joes career since the release of Surfing with the Alien . He has been my #1 influence as a guitarist since I first heard him and after 20+ years I still am amazed at his melodic effortless solos and his unique driving rythyms. Ive spent hundreds of hours studying subtle details of his technique. As an interviewer i think i can ask questions that go a little deeper into the psychy of this amazing virtuoso. Many argue with the statement of "The Greatest Guitarist"....but no one comes close to the beauty Joe creates with his Axe! Ive recorded 10 Joe Satriani songs at my website www.axeshredder.com I am the moderator of the Joe Satriani Section at guitars101.com
Question 1:
Can you tell me more about the JSX 4 12'' Cabinet? I hear theres a new technology being used never seen in cabinet designs before.
Question 2:
Do you ever write things that you think are teribble till someone tells you its great?
Question 3:
Do you write most of your material alone in your studio or in live practice with the band? If alone, do you write Drums and Bass?
Question 4:
Ive personally recieved mail from Joe Satriani fans all over the world Germany, Ausralia, Japan, Ireland...and the list goes on. They request from me personally,Backing tracks to play alng with. Have you ever though of releasing backing tracks to some of your songs for sale? I know you would sell millions of copies!
Question 5:
Have you ever experimented with any non stringed instrument? ....if you havent, which one would you?

send the pics of you and him backstage to their webmaster....might help...or mail them to them...with a fifty dollar bill - a little "incentive" never hurt, I'm told.
