Yeah it is...I might actually have that issue of GFTPM laying around somewhere too. I remember that little write up, they had a section for undiscovered talent, where they featured 3 players every month.
I was thinking that some other decent players had been featured in there as well, before they became "big" names...though I can't remember any of'em off hand.
I think....that Michael Lee Firkins mighta been one who was featured as well...
I should dig out those old issues and see what I can find. LOL
But yeah, that is him before he became known as Buckethead.

looks to me like jimi makes 10 posts a day .. which isnt excessive i dont think haha .
this is weird cause i saw that very picture a few years ago and it was meant to be buckethead . what freaked me out then and does again now is his fingers .. those things are insane he can stretch to unknown places ... he has something of an unfair advantage cause of that ... my only question is .. his fingers in that pic are huge ... but in other pictures of him .. they dont seem AS long .. theyre long but not THAT long ... weird .. i do believe its him though .

Brian's a kewl guy... he used to come over an old "acquaintance" of mine's guitar repair shop to have his git-fiddles taken care of...
I haven't seen either one in about 5 years though.
