John 5

Hey guys i just recieved Johns first album 'Vertigo' today and i gotta say this guy has some amazing chops!! I heard Sugarfoot Rag some time ago and began learning it, and now i've heard the rest of the album I c an honestly say he is one of the greatest guitarists to pop up over the last few years. I always thought his stuff with Manson was pretty good, buthis solo stuff is truly incredible!!

Has anyone else hear got his solo album?? Let me know your thoughts

Yea, the dude is a straight up shredder - at least he can be.

There are some kick ass riffs on that CD.

That clip of Thunderkiss was fookin awesome!

I think J5 is just a fantastic musician. I'm really glad he moved on from Manson.

I have "Songs for Sanity" (Vertigo's follow up) and it is a mind blower!

A must have for fans of shred!

Thanks for sharing those clips!

I'm not a fan of John 5. Then again, I'm one of those guys that's obsessed with crazy Neo-Classical Prog/Power Metal shredding, so I guess I'm not exactly contributing too much to the conversation.

The guy is an incredible player, and obsessed with learning more, even at this point in his career. I've read in interviews with him, that he will blow into town and the first thing he does is call around to find the best teacher in town and schedule a lesson to see if there is anything he can learn new.

Yeah that really is dedication! He is an incredible guitar player, and really down to earth, on his own forum he answers questions that people post. And that includes stuff about how he plays certain parts or songs

I'm hoping to start a project soon to try and replicate his telecaster, it would be a great addition to my collection, but I don't think I'm gonna bother with the old headstock design.
