Keep in mind that this Van Fan posted Sammy's statment about being
friends with the VH brothers 24 hours before it hit Sammy's site.
Here's his latest update.
-First off, anyone who thinks that Roth will be involved in any part
of the upcoming summer tour, please go check yourself into a
nuthouse asap. As much as I, myself, would love for that to happen,
it just ain't gonna. Sammy, and only Sammy, is VH's sole vocalist
again.
-Pre-production is already in full swing: From locking down venues
to how many bottles of Cabo Sammy wants backstage, the VH road
machine is up and running again.
-Tour looking to launch around the May/June area and should run
through September. They're pushing for the BOV2 to come out around
that time as well, which would make the most sense.
-A target of around 70 dates around the U.S. is what's being
planned. No talks of any shows outside of America right now (sorry
international fans).
-New York/New Jersey area fans, keep your schedules clear for around
the end of August: August 30th at Nasseu Coliseum on Long Island and
August 31st at Continental Airlines Arena are the first 2 specific
dates and venues I have caught wind of. I'm hoping to get more dates
for other parts of the country soon, so stay tuned.
