Metallica - Am I the only one who hates them?

Metallica - the band that never fails to disgust me each time I hear them. Just why the hell are they so popular with seemingly the entire world??? Why do people out there say that they are so talented that they beat Megadeth hands down?? First, their songwritng sucks. No creativity, just repetitions of the same crap album after album. Solos? Worse. Hammett is being called "guitar god" in almost every single f**king guitar forum I can find on the net while every single solo Kirk plays is written the same way, album after album. Dun mind me, I'm just venting my frustration here after a 16 year old bloke with the nick of "GuitarGodKirk" mentioned to me that I dun know nothing about guitar playing, since I disagreed with him that Kirk was one of the greatest players out there, and that the crap that they had on St Anger was "carefully" and "well" written that sounded different now.
