My most under rated guitarists (Not sure if they've been mentioned as I have not read all the posts on this thread) are :

Dave Navarro - One of my fav guitarists, I just love this timing and chops, and his Wife !!!

Steve Farris - of Mr.Mister fame, I think he's one of the responsible dudes for me loving the guitar. I just love his guitar work on all the Mr.Mister albums.

Dominic Miller - Sting's guitarist, I've seen him a few times live, the guy is not only a killer electric player but an awesome nylon player too.

Vivien Campbell - Has a solo album out now which I must check out.

Prince - A lot see him as a pint sized singer but his guitar playing is out of this world and the likes of Vai & Beck sing his praise and rightly so.

One of the best blues players that underrated in my opinion is Roy Buchanan its to bad he commited suicide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIz4P...roy%20buchanan he hated the music biz and dissappeared for along time because record companies wanted to much control of his music. I don't consider myself a blues player more of a hard rock player but Roy was one of the first blues players that I listened to far more than clapton.

My IDOL!

Randy Rhoads, he is respected but i dont think he gets the attention he was worthy of... i swear that if he would have lived longer he would have been the greatest ever!
