Name this 80's Glam Ballad song

Not sure who sings this...but I'd like to find out the band or the title of the song. Some of the lyrics are below:

Any guesses? I'm stumped...I have this song on a cassette tape SOMEWHERE in my house, but it was made by someone else who I haven't seen or talked to in years...but it was either a late 80's or really early 90's glam metal ballad. And it's not one of the normal bands we think of from this age like Poison, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, etc. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Now there's something I haven't heard in ages!
Its a song called Heart Of Gold by a band called Sweet FA (from the 1989 album Stick To Your Guns). I have it on cassette!!! Lol.

You are the man! I've been trying to find the info online at lyrics sites, etc. for ages! For some reason, I was thinking that band might have been from Indiana (just like me), but wasn't for sure. Thanks for the help, bro...I wasn't going to quit 'til I found the answer!
