New David Gilmour album!!!!

David Gilmour has a new album coming out and they played the single on my local radio station!!!! To bad it sounds like a piece of crap that Gilmour threw together in his sleep in order make a quick buck (sorry Gilmour if that really isn't the case!). Geesh, I can only hope that if I take 22 years! to release another song, it will sound a lot better than that.

Gilmour seriously needs to take a lesson from Roger Waters and learn how to expand himself as an artist. I haven't heard the whole album, just that single, but it sounds like it would be a B-side to "Piper At The Gates of Dawn" (and even thats being kind).

Anyways, I'm probably wrong, feel free to complain or what not.

Guys, guys, guys! Be it not for me to tell you how to express yourselves...for is that not the point of the boards? BUT 'it's shite', ' no it isn't...you're a wanker' is maybe falling into a bit of a trap! Ulnie is an intelligent individual who doesn't like what he's heard. buckkillr8 the same who happens to have been seperated at birth from Dave himself...NOT a recipe for harmony...HOWEVER, neither of you have heard said long player so reserve judgement until...the video on the site however shows off some beautiful music with some great TOTALLY ENGLISH quirks. Like the guy who plays the bottles on the album! Also Crosby and Stills supplying some great harmonies, Phil Manzanera (I feel definitely that some of my English chums will be Roxy fans?) adding his touch in the choice, engineering and recording of the songs. And all recorded on a houseboat I used to live 5 miles from on the Thames.

A Dave Gilmour release deserves a listen before it's passed-on and people reserve the right not to do either BUT expect a flaming!

I'm definately gonna give this a listen, being a huge pink floyd fan.
More of a waters fan than gilmour tho, but the man is a guitar genious, there's no denying that.

i'm a big floyd fan, but i tend to stick to mostly 70's stuff.. not to take anything away from gilmour and waters solo efforts, but i dont think they can alone produce superior material.

I'm listening to the album now. Can't say I'm impressed. But maybe it grows with a few listens.
Why can't he just do as Roger Waters says and we might get some seriously good new albums!

He's planning the wall on broadway? Hadn't heard about that.
But his opera was great!
