New EVH Limited Edition Charvels (NOT the E-Bay version)

This will be announced at NAMM today. Charvel is coming out with a limited edtion line of Van Halen model striped Charvels, in all three famous color schemes. These are NOT the same as the EVH Artist series now available on E-Bay. The new guitars will not be striped by Eddie, but WILL be available through your local Charvel dealer.

It wont do anything to EVH's painted ones because the're painted by Eddie and nothing can take that quality away.

These are going to be fairly expensive as they're custom shop pieces. The regular production models may be more affordable though.

Ok.. This is more like it... Of course, there's no info on how to order one or how much they will cost... I don't care if Eddie painted them or not... I mean, maybe if I were super rich I would care but I'm not so I don't have the luxury of caring about it. What's most important for me is that the guitar be good quality. If I can buy one that is painted like his, made of quality parts and wood, plays well and Eddie makes a dime off it - all at an affordable price... Then I can go for that. Of course, I suspect these guitars will be super pricey anyhow... Any guesses? 2000? 3000? 4000? Probaly most of us will not be able to get enough scratch together for them...

In addition to the new Charvel EVH Art Series guitars, the Charvel Custom Shop will introduce a limited run of guitars that will be faithful recreations of Edward’s classic red guitar with black and white stripes. The Charvel Custom Shop will work closely with Van Halen to create no more than 100 pieces, all of which will replicate the original down to every detail, including original specifications, as well as its nicks, scratches and wear marks. More details with regards to pricing and availability will be forthcoming.
