New Megadeth album or New Metallica Album

Megadeth has a new album coming out later this year, and rumor has that Metallica will be releasing album possibly later this year. I was just curious which one are you guy looking must forward to hearing. I am a little more interested in the new megadeth album (Metallica has hurt me too many times: Load, Reload, St. Anger). Except on a more positive note I did here from a radio station in GA that Metallica is working with a new producer (Rick Rubin) so hopefully there will be solos on the record and better songs overall.

Megadeth by far. I haven't enjoyed a Metallica record since "...and Justice For All." No Metallica record from the 90's I can listen to and enjoy.

While Megadeth I can listen to Rust In Peace, Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, and The System Has Failed with great pleasure.

I'm looking forward to Megadeth's new release.

Megadeth, without a doubt. Metallica's new song didnt impress me at all. I certainly wont be buying the new metallica if all of the album is like that. Hopefully we will get to hear some of the new megadeth soon, im looking foward to hearing what Glenn and Shawn bring into the music.

I for one am looking forward to the new Megadeth and will probably buy it. I'll only buy the new Metallica after I've heard a few tracks first. If its anything like St. Anger, no way I'm buying it. Can't wait to get the new Priest concept album at the end of the year also.

I'm looking forward to the Metallica album. I already know what Megadeth is going to release, its going to sound just like all of their other works which could be good or bad depending on how much genius has been put into it (personally, I though Countdown was their best work).

Metallica, lol, they've really thrown me for a loop and I never know nowadays what the hell their albums are going to sound like. While their stuff is guaranteed to suck big time, I do look forward to it just for the sheer curiosity of it. But, I hope to god that James sings in key this time around. Lol, who knows what the album is going to sound like, for my money, I say its a William Shatner spoken-word, poetry album with the band getting out all of their frustrations. Or, maybe Axl Rose and 50 Cent will be doing duets. I just don't know.

For my money, Metallica hasn't been relevant in a very long time. The last album they put out that I had any interest in at all was "...And Justice For All" and that was only before I heard it. The songs were way too long and the lack of bass was frustrating. I just never "got" Metallica like many others did. One a positive note, whatever lack of interest I had in their post "Puppets" albums the live show always made up for it. Even as weak as "Load" was the tour was very exciting and I didn't regret spending the money to see them.

Megadeth, on the other hand, I have always been interested in. Perhaps what took Metallica 6 to 8 minutes to say Megadeth could say it in 3 or 4 minutes. Their albums were always more interesting to listen too. Even weaker albums like "Cryptic Writings" and "Risk" had more enjoyable songs than anything Metallica has done since the "Black Album".

So, I guess I have to say I'd be more interested in a new Megadeth album than anything Metallica would put out.

I have to say that Megadeth's ouput is in my opinion of better quality and variety than what MEtallica has been able to deliver.

I always get something great out of their releases, even out of the lesser albums. Megadeth has more musical integrity in my eyes.

But I look forward to Metallica in the hopes that they will get their stuff together this time around.

You know what i'm really looking forward to the new Metallica album. Don't get me wrong Megadeth is a great band, but, Metallica is my favorite band of all time. Megadeth has stuck to their Metal over the years, but think about this... Without Metallica there would be no Megadeth. My opinion so sorry if I insult anyone, but if Dave Mustain hadn't been kicked out of 'tallica then no Megadeth.

Sounds logical, no Metallica then no Megadeth... Megadeth would probably be named something else I suppose, if Metallica didn't make it... If Metallica still had Dave and made it up to this point, then I think the albums would be better. That is just me however
