Robert PLANT

ROBERT PLANT TO RELEASE NEW SOLO ALBUM

Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant is expected to announce a U.S. release date soon for his new solo album, Mighty Rearranger. The 12-track album comes out in the U.K. on April 25th, with a single, "Shine It All Around," due out April 18th. It's Plant's first studio set since 2002's Dreamland, although his 2003 retrospective, Sixty Six To Timbuktu, also featured some new recordings.

Plant recorded Mighty Rearranger last year in Wales and England, with a group called the Strange Sensation.

Plant kicks off a short U.S. tour on March 11th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He'll also be delivering the keynote speech and performing at this year's South By Southwest music festival on March 17th in Austin, Texas.

Warwick Students’ Union are proud to present a night of rock and roll with one of the country’s greatest living rock legends. Returning to his Midlands roots to perform one of only 2 very special intimate shows, this will be an absolutely unmissable event. The evening will feature solo performances, classic Zeppelin tracks and new, never heard material from his forthcoming album “Mighty Rearranger. Tickets cost just £22.50 each (no booking fee from the venue), are limited to only 1100 and are sure to be snapped up in record time. The Box office can be contacted on 024 765 72794

Warwick Students’ Union is quickly re-establishing itself as one of the leading venues in the Midlands. 2 weeks ago a live show featuring Fightstar caught national attention when lead singer Charlie Simpson announced his departure from his ‘other’ band, Busted on the day of the show. Over the last 12 months Warwick Students’ Union has hosted shows by the likes of Supergrass, The Zutons, Bowling for Soup, Wheatus, The Cooper Temple Clause, British Sea Power, Arrested Development and many more.

Robert Plant need no introduction as the vocalist of Led Zeppelin, probably the greatest rock band of all time. He continues to write and perform music, as well as captivate audiences all around the world with his unique voice. Plant is expected has announced a U.K. release date of April 25th for his new solo album, Mighty Rearranger. The 12-track album is preceded by "Shine It All Around," due out April 18th. It's Plant's first studio set since 2002's Dreamland, although his 2003 retrospective, Sixty Six To Timbuktu, also featured some new recordings.

I'm glad to see something newcoming from him. It would be cool if he wrote some odd stuff like Principle of Moments type music. I hope he hits the midwest AND I hope I hear about ticket sales ahead of time.
