Very good read, thanks.
Ray Danniels is a piece of shit. Bottom line. Stupid motherfucker screwed up one of the greatest bands. The story pretty much categorized the guys into groups:
Sam - Genuine, nice and fair guy
Alex - Son of a bitch asshole who has an attitude problem
Ed - The guy who agrees with Alex, and is very insecure and oblivious
Mikey - The poor guy that is just "free-riding" the band.

So in a nutshell maybe Sam should apply the Vegas idea of 'what happens in Vegas stays in vegas' or even teh Bon Jovi New Jersey Syndicate thing of keeping band business private because from where I am standing he is the one making all the rumours & accusations & doing all the talking & trying to make himself look like the good guy & everyone else bad

I got pretty much the same feeling reading this (Thanks so much for posting this Sucka!). Especially when Sammy goes off on Eddie and Alex's marital problems. The bottom line is, that's just not being a MAN. A REAL MAN does not go and talk trash about another man, especially his marital problems, so Sammy loses major respect from me on that front. Another thing a real MAN would do is set up his wife of 23 years, not go so far as to deny her her own mother's silverware! That right there shows what a scumbag Sammy really is.
Let me relate an interesting story:
I went to a Christian school where we had chapel every Friday that sometimes included guest speakers. One week, we had an ex-roadie for Sammy Hagar in to talk to us about the perils of rock music, drugs, etc. During his lecture/sermon, he told us a story about one time after a show when Sammy was leaving and there were fans wanting his autograph. The roadie asked Sammy why wouldn't he stop to sign some autographs, and he quoted Sammy as saying why should he if he already got their money.

Wow. Who knows if that's really true but it wouldn't suprise me. Sammy's all business.

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde

Yea he visits the links too. 16ozShlitz I believe is his name. Real nice guy, and the book sounds great.

Thanks a lot for those chapters. Is there any chance you could direct me to a link or perhaps email me the whole book?
I'd love to read it.
Thanks again!

I have some more questions.
Could someone give a rundown of VH's relation with Ray Danniels? So Hagar leaves and Cherone is on board. Danniels is their manager for the VH-III tour. How long did he stay with them?
I know there are two sides of a story, but I've always hated Ray Danniels for screwing the band. I just wanna know whatever happened to him and how they got rid of him. Did the VH brother wake up from their winter sleep and kick his ass out or did he just leave himself after realising there was no more VH to exploit?
What label released their last best of package and who produced it?

These chapters leaked out to the net back in like 2000 I think, maybe later and I was really fascinated when I read it. Up until then I had a different vision of what all these guys were like in my mind. Reading this sort of changed that, but like I said, this is Sam's side of what went down.

Sucka your right the book was never released ...
It's title " Red Storm Risin' " ...
I've seen acouple copies throughout the yrs on Ebay going
for as mush as 2 "G"'s ...
I need sum sex videos n shit for that kind of cash !!!
Still interestin readin {even if it's one sided} n sum great insight of
the behind the " CASH DOOR " of Rock n Roll
One thing that gets me is Mikey's place in the band
Everyone knows Eddie n Alex is/was VH but Mikey has been
there from the start n must of / should of learned the "Ins n Outs"
of the BIZ !!!
Damn I remember back in Detwat in the late 60's early 70's when
bands played just to play .... to gather a followin like VH did , now
it's all about "BIG FAT MONEY" n sum times nuttin else !!!

Sammy's Book
Everytime I read this, I think of Eddie's version about the whole thing. But, then, I got scare of thinking if I really want to know the truth... .
