SAMMY HAGAR Says He Is 'Sure' There Will Be Another VH
SAMMY HAGAR Says He Is 'Sure' There Will Be Another VAN HALEN
VAN HALEN frontman Sammy Hagar spoke to Doug Podell of Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM earlier this month about the speculation that VAN HALEN may be finished as a band now that the group have completed their North American tour. Asked to comment on the band's current status in light of the recent reports that Sammy is embarking on a solo tour, Hagar said, "There's really not much to say except, you know, we did it — we did the big tour last year. I don't wanna just do that every year. I mean, I love my band, I love what I do solo, too, and I don't get that in VAN HALEN. VAN HALEN is one thing, and what I do solo is another, and it's two different things, and I couldn't just say I'm only gonna do one. If there's ever a possibility for another VAN HALEN tour, I'd be interested down the road or something, but right now, we just did it and rather than do that again, I wanna go out and play 'Mas Tequila' and 'One Way to Rock'. It's really funny — as an artist, I've had so many songs that I've written and done, made records… you can't just leave that alone. So last year, the WABORITAS, we went down and played Cabo for New Year's Eve, we played three nights, and we had so much fun, we came back and we started rehearsing. I said, 'No, let's put together a whole different show [to the one] we did last year,' and I just got… count 'em here, about 300 songs that I've recorded and written solo that I need to… I just need to play 'em. And my band loves to go out and tour. So we're doing the WABOS this year.
"I'm sure we'll do [another VAN HALEN tour] again sometime. The first 11 years I was in VAN HALEN, it was like no solo stuff — it was pure VAN HALEN — but after going out with my band for seven years, I got really used to it and it got good to me, so I couldn't ever do just one or the other type of thing. You know what I mean?! It would be like… If everybody could stay happy, then we could do it. But I mean, it was great. The VAN HALEN tour was fanstastic. Some of the highlights of that tour were certainly in the Detroit area — those shows were on fire, Joe Louis arena. Those were some of the best shows we did."

I won't go to another VH show unless Dave is fronting it, sounds like Sam doesnt have a clue if there will be another tour with him. Ed and Al steered the band into the ground back in 96 and it hasn't recovered, Classic VH reunion could be the only antidote baby!

Why do people always do that stop saying that one person is better than another. They both have different styles and i personally like Sammy's better because he isnt drunk on his ass all the time.(No offense Dave i like you to)

Thats why I didnt go see those businessmen. I knew it was gonna end in, thanks for the money Sucka . Release three shitty new songs, make the fans wait and then, rip us off. I guess Eddie Was running low on funds, needed to tour to make money, released some shitty ass collab and then ripped us off some more.
