Soul Sirkus
Man I can't believe I haven't started a thread on these guys yet. IMHO, these guys are one of the best bands around right now in rock. I even think this "supergroup" is better then Velvet Revolver, but that just might be my love for melodic rock speaking.
For those that don't know, Soul Sirkus is Jeff Scott Soto, Neal Schon, Marco Mendoza and now Virgil Donati. Neal's playing in this band is so damn refreshing to hear. It really seems that he's got that fire he had back in the Rollie Journey days. These guys are hitting the road soon in the US and Europe, so if you can get a chance to check them out, DO IT!!
Here's a sample of one of their songs set to be released on a newer version of their album World Play. This one has Virgil Donati on the drums since Deen Castronova had to pull out of the gig due to fatigue.
Check it out, it's called Alive

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde

Thanks for that MP3 link, Sucka. That's the firt I've heard of them. and they do sound pretty good! Have you heard Neil Schon's new solo album? I'd have to rate it as "fair" to be honest with ya. The guitar playing is really good, but the beats just sound to generic to me.

Good thing you said that because I started to buy his solo disc. I really like his playing on Soul Sirkus, and he's also on Jeff Scott Soto's solo disc, Lost In Translation. I can't wait to see him in two weeks.

Glad ya liked it PG, now there's only one thing left, and that's to experience these guys LIVE! I'm so damn hype about the next few weeks. Tonight I got Vai, then Schon in two weeks, got free tickets to see U2, and then I'll be seeing Sammy Hagar in May. I love it!

Ya know I'm not really a fan Kudo. I do own Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree, but don't really consider myself a fan. I saw these guys live on MTV2 this year and was really impressed. So I gotta go see these guys when they come to philly.

To be honest I'm not the biggest fan either, I just think they'd put on a good show Did you see them on the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame special? They did a version of "Still Haven't Found What I'm looking For" with Springsteen that was really cool.
Funny thing is that they're playing in Denver next month and I tried over to get probably 10 people to go, and evyerbody had the same reaction of "Well, maybe... I'm not the biggest fan though" I think it's kinda funny because they (U2, not my friends haha) have sold truck loads of albums, but it's hard to find somebody who owns one! At least for me anyways
Let us know how the show is. It should fun, especially for free!

Yea it should be fun, but I'd be going with this chick that I don't really care for. We're friends and all, but she can be really annoying! During the concert I won't be able to hear her, but on the way to the show, and after I'd have to deal with her.
