Tesla / Into The Now new album rocks!
Hey, it sounds like Tesla never went away.
This is probably the best rock band to appear in the 80s. They got lumped with the hair metal genre, but these guys truly are timeless and their album is amazing in my opinion.
It was well worth the money.
I've played it twice today so far and it really doesn't take very long for some of the songs to “stick”.

Do they have guitar solos? That would rule!

Oh yes, don't you worry about that. Solos, harmonies, accoustic, searing vocals of course, heavy tone, face-melting distortion, HUGE drums, the works!

shit man, no response?
Get out there and buy the CD. Support real musicians who can deliver quality music.
Tell you what, you can try and get a break on the CD by turning in Metallica's St Anger.

Re: Tesla / Into The Now new album rocks!
After listening to this new Tesla album for the better part of last week and over the weekend, I can say that it already feels like a pair of well-worn jeans to me.
Into The Now is certainly one of the best albums I have have ever owned. It will go on regular rotation on my player for years to come.
I'd like to hear feedback from you if you bought it...

Re: Tesla / Into The Now new album rocks!
If you want high-energy, quality rock music. This is the album to get this year.
By the way, the mix is absolutely awesome on this album. Let me explain:
I often have problems listening to CDs in my car because my system is very basic and if a CD is mixed like shit or has a low recorded level it will sound like ass: I have a vintage car and don't want to have a visible CD player to ruin the appearance of the dash. Instead I use a portable CD player that's tucked between the front seat and the console. It's linked to a 4-channel, Sony 100-Watt amp in the trunk, that feeds hidden speakers, a subwoofer and small tweeters up by the windshield top. Since I have no control over the EQ, only volume, I have to contend with the CD as it is.
Let me tell you that this one sounds amazing through this basic system. It sounds like I havea preamp, and a fancy EQ going on. Everything comes out crystal clear and the drum set sounds absolutely HUGE. You also hear the bass clearly and no matter how loud I turn the volume, there is no unwanted distortion on my speakers. Right, CC. I just bought the album. I'm about to give it a spin. It had better rock, or you'll be putting £17 into that there tour fund (+ petrol + parking). So call it a neat £25 !!!

Hmm,
Not a good start. The bloody prongs that hold the CD are all broken !!!
It was pre-sealed, before you ask why I didn't open it, smart-ass...

Re: Tesla / Into The Now new album rocks!
CC, a great recommendation. It rocks !!!
I had them mixed up with some other band that a friend of mine was really into that I can't remember the name of but I'm sure began with T also, and the singer had long black hair and played mostly acoustic stuff.
So I was pleasantly surprised.
Anyway, it's better than that Britney Spears album that you told me was a must have last week !!

Re: Tesla / Into The Now new album rocks!
CC,
I just picked it up and you are dead on. It's a real breath of fresh air to hear Tesla again. If it came out in 85' it would have been a good to average rock CD.....but in 2004 it's awesome!!!!!!
I really like track 2 after a couple of spins....I have an SUV with 12 speakers, 5 amps and 2700 watts....sounds great in there!
