The Best Band You've Never Heard Before

Who's that one(or more) band that you LOVE and can't understand why no one else has ever heard of them before? I've got couple to get things started.

1. Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies (think Black Crowes with Soul)
2. Big Wreck (talented, schooled musicians that write great songs)
3. Marillion (kind of like Peter Gabriel era Genesis without the weird)
4. The Tea Party (kind of walk a fine line between a couple different genres)
5. Tie Amanda Marshall and Sass Jordan (My favorite female singers of ALL time)

Spock's Beard. Prog rock that leans toward the pop. Think Yes + Journey. And fantastic songwriters. And "Snow" is probably the best concept album this side of DSOTM.

VanMan, The Tea Party, Amanda Marshall and Sass Jordan are all Canadian.....I am amazed you even know who they are [img]images/smilies/icon_thumb1.gif[/img] Sass did a couple of albums with Stevie Salas on guitar which feature some awesome playing and The Tea Party are so original sounding, you can't help but listen (I love that middle eastern sound)!

I actually met Amanda Marshall at a music conference and she is awesome live and every bit as cute in person as she is in the pictures. As for Sass Jordan, I was diggin' on her even before she "auditioned" for Van Halen way back when. As for Tea Party, I could describe them, but until you go out and pick up Tangents, you wouldn't understand.
