The Mighty PAF Pro Era!

I bought my first PAF Pro back in late '86. Didn't realize 'till skyscraper album that Steve used 'em too!!
Perfect Timing intro, Two Fools A Minute, Bottom Line are all cool examples of how that pup sounds.
I love that pingy open PAF sound!!! I have an Evolution that does great at gigs, but I find myself going back to the PAF Pro.

Steve Blucher and I have chatted repeatedly on modifying it....Steve always asks...'Why? Eric?" I agree with'em!!

I personally love that era of Vai the most, though some newer stuff is great too!!

Anyone else familiar with Dimarzio DP-151's???

ya the PAF pros are amazing..
i just got a new guitar..ibanez rg550ltd with paf pros and fred.... the paf pro has an amazingly clean crunch... very very versatile too.. very clear and cleans up very nicely when u turn down the volume knob a little..
