HAHAHAHAHAHA....
I hope for his sake he forgets the ego and shaves his head.

I wonder about eddies kid on bass. Seems a little hacky to use a 15 year old kid on stage. Plus, what a slam on Mike. "your parts are so easy a 15 yr old can play them".

I would guess a month or so, you know it's going to be high tension before they even get on the road.
Interesting, who gets in fisticuffs first, Dave and Eddie or Sting and Copeland...

Eddie did it. He has finally gone completely crazy. Taking his 15 year old kid on the road for a whole summer with Dave. That kid is gonna warped beyond what any 15 year old should be. But at the same time he is gonna be getting shown the ropes by one of the all time masters at creating backstage mayhem.

I was too young to catch them on tour with Roth the first time around, so I'm glad they're having another go at it. I hope they keep their egos in check, and realise that this benefits them all. I wonder if they'll go through any post-Roth material. I'm curious as to what the setlist will look like.

and that is the million dollar question, and perhaps the spark that could undo the whole thing. Will dave refuse to play Van Hagar stuff? It will be interesting to see. Personally I'd prefer the old stuff

There is no way in hell they will be playing any Van Hagar era music for several reasons. A.) Dave publicly has said he can't stand Sammy and there is way too much CVH material they can do than having to water it down with red rocker tunes. B.) No offense to Dave, he can't hit the Sammy stuff and from recordings I've heard of him from 06' he's gonna need everything he's got to hit his own stuff. C.) This is a classic VH reunion as they've indicated they're using the logo from the first two albums so basically 1984 and back is going to make up the set list.

Most people are concerned about Mikey not being in it. Reunion to me includes him too but times have changed. I've decided to give Wolfie a shot and not poor piss on him until people have gotten a chance to hear him. 15 year old or not, this is Eddie Van Halen's son. Ed isn't the same guitarist he was 10, 20 years ago but I have to believe that he's done a great job of grooming his son to continue the Van Halen legacy by teaching him everything he knows of guitar and hopefully Wolfie will grow into a guitar god like his dad did.

Prediction... they'll make it through the tour... see some $$$'s, do the R&R HOF, make an album... get close to a second tour... and Ed and Dave will have had enough of each other and call it quits for the last time...

Why did I do it?

I just wonder when Ed realizes that his son is a completely different player than Mike Anthony is.
Seriously, a 15 year old playing on that large scale his first time out?
Experience matters, and I think early on that Mike's contributions to the Van Halen sound are going to be severely missed...

I hope the kid is a great bass player but we'll have to see.

Radio Stations in US are already reporting this to be postponed. Probably legal problems AGAIN....there just isn't enough millions to go round.

Well, as much as I think it will be a train wreck, somehow, I'd like to think that they can stand to be around each other for the 2 months they'll be out.
