The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame announced their nominees for induction.

Here's who they are voting on this year...

U2, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Randy Newman, the O'Jays, The Pretenders, Buddy Guy, Wanda Jackson, The J. Geils Band, Conway Twitty, Percy Sledge, The Sex Pistols, Patti Smith, The Stooges, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Gram Parsons.

HOW IN THE HELL IS VAN HALEN NOT ON THIS LIST.
It's been 25 years since their first release.

This petition is to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and is to intended to petition to get Van Halen, and it's members former and current, including, but not limited to Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony, David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar, and Gary Cherone Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

Just to let you know ,i'm a huge fan of VH,but will not be voting for them ,why? 1st. off-from what i hear-Sammy will be fronting the rest of this tour if he makes it and after that hes done with Eddie, 2nd. the guy looks like a crack head, iknow hes a space cadet ( and it came from a source who knows him well) so its a wonder why no lead singer lasted with him,3rd. i was very disappointed with his performance on the 2004 tour, his sound sucked and so did his playing, it killed me cause i think they were the tightest band in history,the rest of the guys held it down but he was all over the place( go back to cordless too! ) and i seen the show 3 times when they were in my area, their past with Dave and Sammy studio and live-no one will ever achieve, but the condition of Eddie now: they should just pack it in and call it a rocky career, Sammy and the Woborita's play and sound better ( a big thanks to Mikey for keeping the spirit alive ) the disappointment i feel Ed gave me: i will not be voting for them,besides by the time they do get in they will once again be without a lead singer if Eddie dont O.D by then!

While I respect your right to your opinions and I will fight to death for you to be able to make them, please understand that this thread was started by myself. A fan who has seen it all and been passionate about the band through it all. I have not seen the band like yourself due to the fact I live in Australia. I have followed the band since 1979 and love them still today as I did when I was a teenager. I feel a band that has contributed greatly to the musical landscape of my life and others shouldn't be totally judged on a couple of bummed shows and a guitarist who is battling his fair share of personal and medical demons.

You know what fine that is your opinion and you are entitled but this is not the thread for that, all you had to do was if you aren't going to sign it, don't sign it, no reason to come in and try and ruin this thread with that, it was started by sphill for the simple purpose of letting people know about the pettion, so if you don't want to sign the petition don't but please don't use this as a place to bash Ed, thanks.

Guys the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame is just bullshit anyway. Ozzy himself said he doesnt give a rats ass that he's not in it even though we all know he should be. We all know EVH is one of the greatest ever and more importantly, he knows it, thats all thats needed.
