VAN HALEN AND ROTH - FINALLY IN 2007: No more teasing. Never tease where Van Halen is concerned...I have information from a highly placed source that Van Halen will likely tour in 2007 with David Lee Roth as frontman.
Negotiations are currently underway to re-unite Van Halen with their original frontman for a tour in 2007 that will take in Amercia and possibly other territories. While nothing in the world of Van Halen is set until the band walk out on stage, I can confirm that negotiations between all parties have been underway for some time, trying to put together a big 2007 re-union tour.
One would presume the tour will feature classic VH era songs only. What I do not yet know is whether this plan includes exiled bass player Michael Anthony. Perhaps Wolfgang will play bass? I'm told these questions will be answered shortly. Van Halen last toured in 2004 with Sammy Hagar, but the tour ended on a sour note and Hagar has not talked to Eddie Van Halen since.
What I also know is that there will be no new Van Halen release to go with the tour, such as The Best Of Both World's in 2004. There is no plans for a new compilation or a new studio album - just the tour.
More details when available.

Q - How many guitarists does it take to change a light-bulb?
A - Twenty. One to change the bulb and nineteen to say "Not bad, but I could've done better." :wtf:
Rumors like this have happened before. It's really up to eddie as of now, and his frame of mind isn't that great right now. He's really hard to work with and until he stops drinking and smoking, he won't last long on tour.
I don't know if I want to see it. I saw DLR in 99 and he was in fine form vocally but he hasn't aged well and is still doing the same sthick. And if Edward is in the same shape as he was during the 04 V-Hagar reunion it may fall well short of even the most lowered expectation.
You can find a copy of the famous 82 US Festival show on Ebay. Better to spend that money to see what was then what should probably never be.

I agree with this post. I watch that US Festival often. But you know that tour will sell out everywhere it goes. Thats what matters.

I completely agree, they are both in bad shape mentally. Dave is really having a tough time with those high notes, and he sounds kinda silly singing hot for teacher when he's like 50 . Check out dimeadozen, they have 2 dvd shows shows you can download. One is from 82 and one is from 84. They also have just a DLR dvd from the late 90's. Have you seen that Eddie video from 2006? Not the music videos, but like the hollywood one? It was on beverlyhillspeople.com. It took place at the party. Eddie came out drunk and did a half-ass guitar solo. I cringed when I heard him. He was lying down ON THE FLOOR, doing just noise on the guitar making a fool out of himself. I never heard him play that bad ever, I mean it was just ****ing and wrong notes. I respect eddie so much, it kills me to say this.
They probably would kick the shi* out of each other, I agree. Remember when Eddie almost killed Sammy when he did the crazed guitar smashing thing. I mean Roth 24/7 is too much for anybody, i mean once in a year for 2 1/2 hours is enough for me.

Like some others,i`ll believe this when i see it.There`ve been rumours like this ever since Sammy Hagar joined them.Is there any point in doing a reunion tour like this is it`s not going to be the full band. Why do it without Mike Anthony?
I love Mikey to bits, but Ed feels like Mike shit in his and Al's boots by going out with Sammy, booking themselves as the other half of VH. To me, Ed is one half and Al is the other half.
They will probably hire Marco Mendoza or someone of that caliber for the spot and will do just fine. Mike and Sammy can go shake their asses in hawaiian shirts and sell hot sauce and tequilla for all I care!
