Veterans And Newcomers Gather At Austin City Limits
May 5, 2005

Oasis
Sometimes it doesn't seem fair that the people of Austin get to have South By Southwest AND the Austin City Limits festival, but such is life. This year, Austin City Limits has been scheduled for September 23 to 25, and it will feature a number of veteran artists as well as up-and-coming hipsters. So far, the line up boasts Coldplay, Oasis, Widespread Panic, The Black Crowes, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, The Allman Brothers Band, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Kasabian, Wilco, Doves, Buddy Guy, Jet, Jimmy Cliff, Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams, Sleater-Kinney, Spoon, The Secret Machines, Jason Mraz, The Decemberists, The Bravery, The Black Keys, Bob Mould, Tegan and Sara, Mike Doughty, Death Cab For Cutie and many, many more. Overall, the festival will feature over 130 bands on eight stages in Austin's Zilker Park.
"We're excited about the diverse musical talent playing at this year's festival and feel strongly this line up has something for everyone," says Executive Producer Charlie Jones. "The stellar music, the beautiful setting, and some of the best accommodations available at a music festival make the ACL festival an event that people want to attend year after year."
Check out austincitylimits.com for the complete line up and ticket info.
