Hey everyone just got back from the Detroit JLA show and all I have to say is it was freackin amazing!!! Ah but I am getting a litle ahead of myself, First the opeming act Silvertide, very solid band, their one guitarist was just a ball of energy, lead singer reminded me of a Robert Plant/ChrisRobinsone mix. Thye played for about a half hour and then it was on to the main event THE MIGHTY VAN HALEN! As soon as everyone saw one glimpse of Eddie on the side of the stage the place erupted, it was LOUD!! They opened with Jump and the place was going crazy, Sammy's voice was amazing and the guys was full energy, Eddie was full of energy and was having an absolute blast, Mikey was awesome , and Big Al was beating the crap out of the drums, the drums and bass was so thunderous that you could feel it in your chest! Eddie's stacks were black and white striped, red/black and white striped, and black and yellow striped.
One of the most awesome parts of the show for me was when Eddie brought out the black and yellow striped Charvel, he played Top Of The World, Unchained (sounded absolutlely amazing live), and Why Can't This Be Love on it. here is the setlist as I remember it anyway lol
