Heh, I always liked the idea of having Jump played at my funeral, cuz I don't want some fucking morbid song played cuz that just ain't me.
Everyone associates Jump with me, as Van Halen isn't that popular in the UK, so being a huge Van Halen fan, it's kinda instantly unique about me. So I'd rather everyone be smiling and laughing than weeping at Angels or something like that.
I always wondered whether "I'm Living In A Box" would be a good one. I'd definitely like "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life", as well...
Just something that's a laugh. People are always gonna see the song as a sad thing anyhow. I'd just like the songs to invoke a giggle or two as well...
Cuz that's all I am about.
That's if anyone ever turned up at my funeral...

That is a good question.
I tell you what I want. When I am planted I want a set of speakers in my coffin with speaker cable going up through the ground. Then have my wife bring a Ipod with my favorite songs so she can plug it in when she is seeing me.
If I was going to go for levity I think I would pick "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" by Wham. I think it would hysterical.
Somber would be The Loner by Gary Moore.

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
the acoustic, Zakk Wylde version of Mama, I'm Coming Home.
Cemetary Gates by Pantera.
Maybe as i'm being buried have The Unforgiven by Metallica playing. seems appropriate enough to have the soil tossed on top of me

Hendrix - Voodoo Child ( Slight Return)
OR
Steve Vai - For The Love Of God
the first made me want to play guitar really well. The second changed my entire outlook on life. Both potent moments of my life (so far. hope i dont die for a while yet lol) . Would seem fitting if played at my funeral.

Well if I wanted to do something sad it would probably be Dark was the Night by Ry Cooder. Otherwise it would be something like Margaritaville .

Three songs I want played at my funeral definately...I'm sure there's more...but I don't honestly think about that stuff too much.
1.Teo Torriate (Let Us Cling Together)-Queen: from Live in Japan (Queen+PR)
2.Man in Black- Johnny Cash
3.Sweet Dreams- Roy Buchanan
