On the Paul Rodgers CD 'A Tribute to Muddy Waters' there is a bonus disc with a new version of 'Fire and Water'. Does anyone know whoi plays the solo on it because it doesn't say in the sleeve and I need to know because it is an awesome solo?

Kind of hard to say, it's pretty unclear who played on that particular CD
The second CD was a limited offer only available with the initial release of the album in the UK (and possibly other countries). The provenance of the tracks is unclear: the liner notes say nothing more than that they are produced by Sherwood, but I guess they were recorded by the core band at the same time as the rest of the album. I've heard Geoff Whitehorn before and it doesn't seem his style and saw a DVD of them live and he plays it differently but it seems to match. Anyway if it is him it's an awesome solo and i'd love to hear more.
