Looking for volunteers...

For those who might be interested, I thought this would be interesting. I wanted to start a collaboration effort that I will loosely dub “Don’t Drop the Ball”. The idea behind it is to get a few volunteers up front in the following categories… Drums, Rhythm Gtr 1., Bass, Rhythm Gtr 2., Lead Guitar, Keyboard, Lyrics/Vocals. First person supply the Drum track, then pass it to the 2nd person for Rhythm Gtr 1. and so on and so forth…

1. Drums
2. Rhythm Gtr 1.
3. Bass
4. Rhythm Gtr 2.
5. Lead Gtr
6. Keyboard
7. Lyrics/Vocals

At the end I’ll start a thread where the participants can attach what they did, as part of the “evolution”, along with the finished piece. I have to guess that the result would be a quality tune for sharing.

I'm going to volunteer myself to supply the beats. Private message me or reply to the thread if you want in.

Sounds like a great idea. You might be better putting this up in the Jam Room as you're looking for jammers! I'd be up for the guitar solo's if you don't get sorted with anybody but I'd rather give somebody else a chance first. If no-one comes onboard, let me know.

I could try bass or keyboard.

Wow that was fast...

Wahwah - yeah I thought about the jam section. I looked at a few posts and wasn't sure if it was a place for people to find others in the same area to jam or for collabs? I figured the end result would be an original? Is there a way to tie it to both or move it? Let me know if it's better suited somewhere else.

It looks like SLoB is volunteering for any of the 3 gtr parts (welcome aboard).

SLoB - any preference with rhythm or leads?

I can give it a bit of time to see if anyone else is interested in leads, if not wahwah it would be great to have you in the mix.

Goport also is interested, just got to find out what part is appealing.

nroberts - tentatively i'll slot you with both, if we get some word back from some else interested in either/ or, we can lock one or the other in?

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I was hoping to find 1 person for each slot, but if not we can do that.

I'll plan to feed the drum track to rhythm gtr 1. volunteer (still looking for that volunteer), by tomorrow night. It won't be me actually playing but I'll build something with some changes so it's more than a loop and put a kit sound on it that hopefully sparks some ideas.

no reason why we both can't do it lace? either as a collab or 2 different versions.
