Need some guitarHere is a little bassline I made up with a drum beat. It needs some fat guitar over it ( ). Anyone care to give it a whirl? I'd love to hear what anyone might come up with. Thanks.

vintage_brat said: Hey. i gave it a try. not sure if im happy with it. but it works. [/ QUOTE ]To be honest, I have two opinions of this track: 1. I don't think the two are working well together as effectively as they could. It is not that they clash or sound bad as much as it sounds like possibly two different songs playing together. Maybe it's because I wrote this little bass line about 9 years ago and have been hearing it by itself for so long. 2. I really dig your guitar part(s). THere is something dark and catchy about it. I think you should take your part and work on developing it into it's own ditty. It has good potential. That's just my opinion though. |

phil28uk said: i may give it a go if it's ok [/ QUOTE ] Go nuts Phil! This is not an easy tune to come up with an accompanying part because there are a lot of chromatic notes and it doesn't really fit into any particular regular scale. I think that is why I posted it is because I really haven't come up with anything and was curious to see how others would approach this same tune. |

Re: Need some guitarThanks Zeppy. Glad you liked it. Yeah, as I stated earlier, it is not an easy one to accompany. Give it a shot though if you want.

Re: Need some guitarumm,
Not so sure about submitting this as I was really using it as an excuse to try out some new software. I had two attempts at it and the first one f**ked up the guitar tuning a bit as I ended up shaking the guitar with the trem!! not something I have done for a while This one is the second, more sober, attempt is a bit thin on guitar (I am supposed to be packing my work stuff for a 9 day job in Bermuda - beats the UK anyday). Sorry it is a bit rushed and all that but I think ther is a nice jazzy/acoustic tune in here waiting to get out. |
