Audigy USB recording latency

I have had to deal with this issue every since I got this card, when I use my pod it's not an issue because I can choose PODxt in my driver list in CoolEdit Prol. But whenever I try to use my keyboard through the Audigy2 driver I get huge latency and by the time I am done recording the fucking track it's a step and a half behind. Anyone have any ideas on how I can configure cooledit for this? I downloaded the kx drivers and that didn't make a lick of difference.

Re: Audigy USB recording latency

I didn't know Cool Edit Pro had a driver list....I guess I'll have to go look.

The only suggestion (and it's not a good one) would be an external pre-amp/DAC with a USB or firewire interface. It will solve latency, but cost $$$.

eric you should consider the route I took. you play really well, why not get the best sound into your pc...

http://www.m-audio.com

checkout the firewire 410 ... smoooooths amps in that baby killer micing. you can mike an amp, plug the pod into it, use it to lay your vocals down, etc. i hate hyping things but this is one of the best investments i have ever made.

Re: Audigy USB recording latency

Thanks sting, I just bought this though so I want to make sure that there isn't a fix or config that I can make first. I have heard really good things about m-audio though so that will probably be my next step.
