the ux2 is pretty cool. I was skeptical at first but it is really is a software version of the XT/ plus it is pretty cool for bass (the power pop bass setting is anything but pop - it rocks!)
I was happy with the stock sounds but I bought the power pack plugin today and this really opens up the features.
in essence the ux1/2 is a decent quality recording interface with top class modeling handled in software. its good for guitar bass and vocals too. looking forward to hearing your new stuff
