Beats Per Minute - Guitars101

Is there any easy way to calculate the BPM of backing tracks d/l'ed from here. I usually convert the tracks into WAV files, and import them into my Zoom MRS8. For certain effects and things, I would like to know the exact BPM of these tracks so I can set it in the Zoom.

I don't know if there's an easy way but because there are no other suggestions:
Maybe you should find and cut a single bar of music from that wav and then slice or analyze with some software. Is the beat slicer in Fruity loops able to do this? Or some Cool Edit / Audacity tools?
The other way is to bring your wave to Sonar or some other sequencer. Put a midi drum track there beside it. Listen and keep changing the tempo 'til they match.

As you can see, I don't know an easy way but I could get the job done if I had to. Hope this helps!

This program works really well for this. Make sure you select the wave input of your soundcard and choose the range....
