I thought this was pretty damn good. Some on here have been asking about setting up hardware for home recording. I think this resource, although specific to cakewalk, is pretty damn good:
It covers what to shop for when building from scratch, another section on some cakewalk approved models (good to give you an idea), and a nice section on audio interfaces that will work with cakewalk (and most other good products like Cubase and similar).
The Build a System guide is prolly the best and you can use that to get an idea on what to look for in a prebuilt system if you donut like to get your hands dirty [img]images/smilies/smile.gif[/img]
