i wrote up a walkthrough for musicianwar.com on how to get started with cubase a month ago, this is a rough guide really, its only the actual getting started stuff, nothing about your audio interface etc... heres the link, complete with images, and a drum programming section(although i did see theres already a sticky for that)... spent a lot of time on this, let me know if theres anything you think should be added or could be better etc...
That's really great. Now of only someone had that for Sonar 5. But thanks man.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.

Thanks Elysian, I've had Cubase for a while but never really got to grips with it so this walkthrough is going to help me when i come to really get used to it
