Digitech RP100 crappy distortion

Does anyone know how I can get good distortion out of this thing? I've tried about 50 patches and I haven't got any good distortion yet.

Hmm. I got the GP-100, the one Robot has. I think Dannyboy has the RP-100, so you might want to consult him.

Re: Digitech RP100 crappy distortion

ok Ulnariun . im guessing you are running a pretty nice amp . so try to use the effects loop if you can . i will give you the exact etting i use to get dannyboy tone lol .

pickup/wah - off - off - off
compressor - 3 - 10 - 3
amp model - 99 - 90 - rectified
equalizer - -5 - -11 - -9
cabinet/mic/gate - 3b - ng - 10
effects - off - off - off
delay - 4A - 50 - 35
reverb - off - off - off

i add my reverb with my amp . but im sure you can find a good one on here if you dont have one on your amp . so yeah try that man . thats what i use . should be nice n strong if you have good strong humbuckers

I like the RP100, it's actually pretty good for the amount of money spent on it although for just $50 more you can get an expression pedal with it... I've heard that it's wah-wah sucks anyway.

took me about 2 years to get to grips with my Rp100 in order to create that patch lol . had to learn all the little bits of the matrix and find out how to utilize it to its fullest

Re: Digitech RP100 crappy distortion

hope you caught the fact of the -'s in the Eq section . they are all cuts . minus 5 , minus 11 and minus 9... aka .. -5,-11,-9 for Equalization . otherwise it wont be quite as effective
