Gear for downtuned extreme metal

Hi guys, glad to have found you!

My questions are regarding both playing and recording at home.

So: I manly play extreme downtuned metal, I have an Ibanez Apex II which I tune down a third to G# standard and enjoy some thrash, death metal.

I plan on changing my equipment (keeping the guitar) to get that "ballzy" tight low end that I need for tuning this low. Also, I want a solution which would be good both for playing and recording purposes. I don't have a band, I don't gig, but I jam occasionally.

The options that I have are the following:

1. Head + 2x12" cab and record using a mic.
2. Effects processor -> power amp -> cabinet
3. Effects processor (-> power amp) -> FRFR PA speaker.

Bearing in mind that my budget is at most $500 or EUR 400 and that I am from Romania (and I don't want to buy anything without testing first), what would you recommend?

Thanks.
